Quadratics Book
Quadratics, The Multi-tom Focus is a book geared specifically toward the marching tenor drummer as well as the percussion instructor. The aim of the book's content is meant to guide the player to become more successful behind the drums and it helps the drum instructor focus on subtleties that are easily lost on someone who may not know the instrument as well as others. This is also important when writing music for these drums because there are tricks to writing which allow players to flow through parts, even when sight reading. This phrasing allows the composer to develop a more carefully crafted idea and hone the structure of his melodic line.
The book begins beyond basics where students usually begin because most people don't teach the conception of the actual drums and basic concepts which were created in order to play flowingly on the newly invented percussion instrument. From here the books quickly glances at basics, basically to get the readers looking at the same goal and it takes off from there toward the advanced material.
